Banquet Confirmed!

After two weeks of search, visits and comparison, we placed our deposit today.

It was a decision between two hotels. With the same budget, one for 10 tables with no choice of halal food, and the other for 12 tables with choice of halal food. One is a 5-star central located hotel, the other an almost 5-star too (for its name) located along a less traveled road and high possibility of guests going to the wrong hotel, we decided on the latter.

This is part of the function room (no ballroom since we're having a cosy wedding)...

And this is the living area in the PENTHOUSE SUITE we will be staying for the wedding night.

The bedroom in the suite...

And the extravagant toilet! Its huge!!!

I think I'm more excited of the stay in the Penthouse Suite than the wedding banquet! Can I just stay in the suite and not go down for the banquet? Wahahahahahaha!!!

Our wedding banquet will be at Pan Pacific Orchard. Yes! The one along Claymore Road and NOT Marina! We must emphasis this when we send our invite next year.

The other option was at Mandarin Oriental. Lovely place but the price per table is super lovely too! No halal food is the other reason why we didn't pick it.

Now I can strike the banquet off my list for now. Next up, the photographer and then the house! Wish us luck!

  1. Hi Yusri & Claudia, congrats on your forthcoming wedding. Happy to see another couple like us busy preparing for the one 'BIG' day. Currently, my fiancee and I are sourcing for wedding venues and we happened to shortlist Pan Pacific Orchard and Meritus Mandarin Orchard. We are curious to find out which is the other hotel that you considered (that do not serve Halal food)? Is it Meritus Mandarin Orchard?
